Status update on my Japan situation:
- On Saturday night we went clubbing by mistake
- VENT in Tokyo is a wonderful venue; a large concrete box inside a small concrete box, like a concrete Tardis
- It has been a while since we had a proper (unqualified / non- acid, business or industrial) techno knees-up with squad, it was much needed
- Daniel Avery opened his set with that infamous Slipknot intro tune and closed with a silly Gene Simmons tongue-out RAWK face & accompanying horn-throwing, to the delight of this overgrown mall metal kid
- Don't push past people in the rave in Japan if you get separated from your pals, it is bad etiquette, just stay put
